Executive Director Maria Jimenez-Torres named Grand Marshall of Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council Holiday Parade

On Dec 11, 2016, Maria Jimenez-Torres, the Executive Director of Plaza de la Raza, participated in the Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council Community Holiday Parade as the Grand Marshall! \

Maria Jimenez-Torres is the Executive Director of Plaza de la Raza Cultural Center, where she has served the communities of Lincoln Heights and East Los Angeles for almost 30 years. Under her leadership, the Plaza’s School of Performing & Visual Arts has introduced thousands of local children to the arts with after-school classes in dance, music, theater and visual arts.  She has also produced hundreds of community celebrations including family festivals, concerts, recitals, exhibitions and special events.
