Dia De Los Muertos Festival

Join us for Plaza de la Raza's Día de los Muertos Celebration on Friday, November 1st beginning at 5pm. This annual evening festival will feature dance, music, traditional ofrendas and activities for the entire family with special activities with the LA Rams. This event is FREE to the public, festive attire is welcomed and you are encouraged to bring photos and items loved ones for the various altares throughout the center.

Plaza de la Raza hosts Sergio Ochoa’s fast paced one-man show El Cuidador (The Caregiver) is both a personal memoir and a tribute to his glamorous mother. Both tender and hilarious, Sergio Ochoa reminisces about his childhood as the son of famed Mexican comedic actress Leonorilda Ochoa, her remarkable life, and the challenges of juggling his career with his role as his mother’s caretaker, following her diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer’s Disease. Outfest Film Festival

Plaza de la Raza is a host venue for Outfest with two evenings of LGBTQ film including the LA premiere of The Chunta, a documentary screening followed by Q&A with director Genevieve Roudané on Monday, July 22nd.
