Plaza de la Raza Reopens

As Día de los Muertos season ends, we want to thank you again for coming together safely to celebrate our loved ones and community at Plaza de la Raza. Our exhibit and altar installations remain on view through Saturday, November 20th so if you haven't had a chance to visit, be sure to take a look before the show closes this week!

On November 1st Plaza de la Raza hosted over 1,000 visitors for our annual Día de los Muertos Celebration. Our first public festival since the shutdown, this event came together with the help of 125 artists and performers and countless volunteers who created a safe supportive celebration of life, death and healing set in Los Angeles’ historic Lincoln Park. The evening event included ofrendas, local vendors, live performances and a special exhibition at Plaza’s historic Boathouse Gallery that remains on view through this Saturday.

Again, we thank all who gave of their time and talent and ask that you consider a donation to our center & school at this time. Your gift at any amount will support our continued programing such as Día de los Muertos and our upcoming Holiday Celebration!
