About the Artist
Michelle Taylor, better known to her artistic peers as Pinchi Michi is a creative artist who was born in East L.A and was raised in South Central Los Angeles. She attended El Camino College and Cal State Long Beach for Fine Arts. She loves to use strong bold colors in her artworks, and unconsciously pays tribute to her Mexican American Culture. She was raised by a single mom, and her childhood was ridden with extreme poverty, domestic violence, and instability. All the hard struggles of life were viewed as the norm for the young artist and art has always been the source for coping and as refuge. Art was more than just a colorful distraction or casual personal interest, instead it has continually functioned as a life line.
