About the Artist
David Flury, born and raised in Los Angeles, is a self-taught artist whose work is influenced by his Mayan roots, his upbringing in the city and influence from earlier generations of LA-based Chicano artist, many of whom he studied under. His experiences and apprenticeships have helped paved the way for him as an artist, all the while still being able to evolve in his work and maintain his unique style. You can easily recognize the Latino influence in his paintings by the use of his vibrant color palette, as well as the imagery he uses throughout his body of work.
